Heraldic Submissions Page

(administered by the Brickbat Herald)

Welcome

This site deals with name and armorial issues that are of interest to the people of the Kingdom of Atenveldt ("book heraldry"). Here you can find

  • current submission forms (the only ones that can be used as of 1 March 2007);
  • articles and references that can help in the design of S.C.A. names and pieces of armory; an online S.C.A. Armorial and Ordinary;
  • the status of submissions currently being considered for final registration by the College of Arms (those that have been submitted through the Atenveldt College of Heralds);
  • and links to items of related interest.

The site continues to change and to be implemented. Please feel free to browse through it, to offer comments upon it, and to come back often.

I'm ready for my close-up, Mr. DeMille... Well, this is a different OSCAR: it's the S.C.A. Laurel Sovereign of Arms "Online System for Commentary and Response." All Kingdoms' Letters of Intent are posted here, and it's a useful site to visit and see the latest submissions from throughout the Known World. Reading entries also helps gain insight into what constitutes good documentation as well. You can find OSCAR waiting in the wings: http://oscar.sca.org/index.php?action=102

Yes, there is such a thing as Online Consultation! If you cannot make it to a local fighter practice, or you live in an area without a herald, or you just want to know more about onomastics and armory, this is a good way to find out. Contact Marta.

For information on the submission process, please contact the Parhelium Herald, who handles submissions for the Kingdom of Atenveldt, Marta as tu Mika-Mysliwy (brickbat@nexiliscom.com).
